A CSX Select Site is a premium certified rail-served sites for industrial development and expansion. CSX Select Sites are development-ready properties located along the CSX network. Sites are evaluated on size, access to rail services, proximity to highways, workforce availability, natural gas, electricity, water, and wastewater, environmental and geo-technical standards.

North Carolina is home to two megasites with CSX Select Site certification: Kingsboro Business Park and the Mid-Atlantic Industrial Rail Park.
