NC Biotechnology Center Partnership Development Grant

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center PDG provides performance-based grants to local units of government in support of life science company projects.

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech) has served the state for over 35 years, providing programs and support that have propelled North Carolina to one of the leading life science communities in the world. One program we offer is the Partnership Development Grant (PDG), designed to support North Carolina communities in attracting life science jobs and investment. The PDG is a performance-based program centered on net new job growth in North Carolina as a part of a defined company expansion or relocation project.

As the name implies, the PDG program aims to strengthen relationships between NC communities and growing life sciences companies by providing up to $100,000 to establish or accelerate activities to positively impact both the company and the local community. These grants help companies leverage assets provided by NCBiotech, the North Carolina Community College System, North Carolina Department of Commerce, and other partners as they integrate into our state.

The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina does not award or administer this incentive. This award is administered by the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.
