American Titanium Metal to Add 304 New jobs in $895.6M Investment for New Aerospace-Grade Titanium Manufacturing Facility in Fayetteville

American Titanium Metal, LLC, a U.S. titanium manufacturer, will invest $867.8 million to expand its current operations in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The project will create 304 jobs in Cumberland County and will establish an approximately 500,000-square-foot facility and campus that is purpose-built to melt, roll and finish aerospace-grade titanium.

The project will create 304 jobs in Cumberland County and will establish an approximately 500,000-square-foot facility and campus that is purpose-built to melt, roll and finish aerospace-grade titanium.

“We are pleased that American Titanium Metal has chosen North Carolina as the location of its newest manufacturing facility,” said Christopher Chung, CEO of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC). “Companies like American Titanium Metal are attracted to our available highly skilled workforce, top-notch education systems, and leadership in the manufacturing and aerospace sectors.”

American Titanium Metal joins more than 450 aerospace manufacturing suppliers that have a presence in North Carolina, which is a top state for aerospace manufacturing attractiveness in the country. The company addresses a substantial manufacturing supply chain need of the U.S. aerospace industry – namely, the availability of aerospace-grade titanium. Although wages will vary depending on the position, the average salary for American Titanium Metal’s new positions will be $123,473, which exceeds Cumberland County’s average wage of $45,951.

The EDPNC partnered with the North Carolina Department of Commerce on this project, offering support during the company’s decision-making and site selection process, as well as guiding the company through incentives and infrastructure.

The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina would like to recognize the North Carolina Department of Commerce as well as other key partners involved in this project, including the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community College System, the North Carolina Department of Transportation, N.C. Commerce’s Divisions of Workforce Solutions and Rural Economic Development, the GoldenLEAF Foundation, the Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC), the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and the Fayetteville Cumberland County Economic Development Corporation.
