The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina released its Annual Report entitled ‘Rewriting the Record Books’ today, highlighting the state’s unprecedented year for economic development success.
In 2025, the EDPNC, along with state and local partners, announced 122 project wins totaling over 33,000 new jobs and $24.2 billion worth of capital investment – both of which are all-time highs. The year also saw JetZero announce the largest-ever job creation project for North Carolina, as its aerospace manufacturing facility in Greensboro will employ 14,500 people when fully operational.
“In my nearly 30 years in economic development, I’ve never been a part of a year quite like North Carolina just experienced in 2025,” said Christopher Chung, CEO of the EDPNC. “From record job creation and capital investment to major milestones like welcoming the Michelin Guide to our state’s culinary scene for the first time, the results reflect the strength of North Carolina’s economy and the partners who make this work possible.”
