North Carolina's First Onshore Wind Farm

The Amazon Wind US East wind farm in North Carolina is the first wind farm in the state and one of the first in the southeastern US. With a total installed capacity of 208 megawatts (MW), it generates enough energy to power the equivalent of approximately 61,000 US homes per year.
