About the Speakers

Susan Kintanar joined the EXIM Bank in July 2012. She serves as the Regional Director for the Eastern Region. Susan has worked in international banking for over 30 years, including service at the Asian International Bank, UBAF Arab American Bank, European American Bank, National Bank of Canada, Fidelity National Bank, Citibank, and Regions Bank. She graduated from New York University with a Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology and also graduated from Pace University NY with an MBA in Strategic Management. She frequently is invited to speak at various international professional associations. In addition, Susan is a permanent, accredited Certified Cash Manager.

Thomas Matthias is a Global Trade Sales Officer for trade finance and trade banking services in Regions’ Global Trade Finance Department. In this capacity, he is responsible for delivering customized trade finance solutions for Regions’ clients engaged in international business. Thomas joined Regions Bank in 2016 as Vice President with trade finance and trade banking business development responsibilities for the Georgia, East Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia markets. Thomas has been involved in international markets for the past 25 years.

Ethel is President & CEO of National Drug Source (NDS), a pharmaceutical distribution company founded in 2002, with exports to over 55 countries. Her experience and background in healthcare, where she served as a Registered Nurse, has been responsible for her patient centric focus at National Drug Source, where the priority is to deliver quality and safe medicines and other wellness products. By improving access to medicines and therapies not yet available in their home countries, NDS has helped patients achieve health & wellness around the globe. NDS was the recipient of the NC Exporter of the Year Award in 2022, and the Governor’s Export Award in 2023. Ethel is a North Carolina DEC Member and a board member of the World Trade Association Charlotte Chapter.

Mike Allocca conducts over hundreds of public training seminars annually across the United States and the globe. He is a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) and a NASBITE Certified Trainer. He won the 2015 Presidential “E” Award for Export Services and the 2021 North Carolina Governors export award for Top Export Partner. He served on the local District Export Council (DEC) in Columbia, South Carolina for a four (4) year term. He also served four (4) years on the National District Export Council as Treasurer and Chair of the Outreach & Education Committee. Mike went through the executive MBA Program at the University at Albany in New York and worked as a freight forwarder for ten (10) years. In 2006 Mike started his own export/import compliance consulting company.
